A free place to explore
Gage Park Tropical Greenhouse lists free admission, tropical plants and ponds with fish and turtles. Its statutory-holiday closures matter: regular daily hours do not mean it opens on every holiday. Check temporary closures before travelling.
Hands-on play with a time limit
Hamilton Children’s Museum uses 75-minute visits. Tickets are bought in person and space is first come, first served. Plan around the lack of indoor stroller parking. Hamilton Public Library cardholders can receive free admission, but each adult and each child aged 1+ needs their own card.
Outside, with a seasonal difference
Westfield’s grounds and trails have different access arrangements from its historic buildings. Most buildings are not open daily, and special-event days may require a reservation for the whole site. Decide whether you want a walk or the interpreted village experience before choosing your date.
